Constance Hvass, Ph.D., is a pediatric psychologist who assesses and treats children who have physical disabilities, learning disabilities and developmental delays. She assesses patients and provides therapeutic support for children and parents adjusting to traumatic accidents, burns and chronic conditions. Hvass completed her master of arts and Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. She wrote the book The Lion in the Room and has presented locally, regionally and nationally. Her professional memberships include the American Psychological Association, the American Burn Association, and the Pediatric Psychology Association.
