Kelly Nett Cordero, Ph.D., C.C.C.-S.L.P., is a bilingual craniofacial speech-language pathologist at Gillette’s Center for Craniofacial Services. She assesses and treats speech disorders, palatal function and severe speech sound disorders in patients who have cleft lip and/or palate. She also assesses Spanish speaking patients who have speech, articulation or phonology disorders.

She completed a bachelor of science degree in education, with a major in communicative disorders, at the University of Wisconsin. She then earned a master of arts degree in speech-language pathology with a bilingual emphasis at the University of Texas and a doctorate with a focus on cleft palate speech and bilingual speech development at the University of Minnesota. She has delivered numerous presentations locally, nationally, and internationally on topics related to cleft palate and bilingualism. She has worked with Operation Smile International on developing an assessment for cleft palate speech in Spanish. She is part of the grant-funded Americleft Speech Project, which looks at inter-center speech outcomes of patients who have cleft palate.
