Assistive Technology Careers

Positions in Gillette’s Assistive Technology Department (ATD) include orthotists, prosthetists and seating specialists. Gillette custom-fabricates all assistive technology on-site, making ATD a critical component of the services we provide for patients.

Assistive technology practitioners should have previous experience working with pediatric patients, creative technical problem-solving skills, and excellent hand and power tool skills. Because ATD works closely with every member of a patient’s care team, they should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, pediatric and adult patients, families and colleagues.

Certification requirements for orthotists, prosthetists and seating specialists vary by position.
