Epilepsy Life Stages Visits
At Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, we’re committed to helping children, teens, adults and their families live well with epilepsy and feel supported throughout their lives. That’s why we offer Life Stages® for Epilepsy—a framework for helping families learn about the important steps to take as children grow. From conversations about school to sports and social outings, we can help patients and families understand how to ensure safety, talk to others about epilepsy, and respond to common challenges.
Our neurology care team—including neurologists, neurology nurse practitioners and nurses—meets with patients and families during infancy, the school-age years, the pre-teen and teenage years, and adulthood. During the visits, we answer questions, offer guidance, and help patients and families both respond to changing needs and prepare for their next stages of development. We also assess health care needs, such as medications and sleep health issues, to ensure that patients receive all the care they need to live well with epilepsy.
