"Look at him, he's having such a blast," Janelle Blasingame said, as her six-year-old son Elijah was skiing down Buck Hill in Burnsville. Elijah has cerebral palsy. Saturday was his first time skiing.

6/29/10 Gillette Opens New Brainerd Lakes Clinic

Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare has opened a new Brainerd Lakes Clinic, part of its continuing efforts to provide specialty medical care to families in communities throughout Minnesota. The new clinic, located at 15860 Audubon Way in Baxter, Minn., will provide assistive technology services— including orthoses (braces), custom wheelchair and seating adaptations, CrainoCaps, and augmentative communication devices — to patients in the Brainerd Lakes area.

3/23/10 Gillette Receives National Honor for Healthy Workplace Practices

Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare has been presented with the American Psychological Association (APA) Best Practices Honor for Psychologically Healthy Workplaces. The honor, announced at the APA national conference in Washington, D.C., is granted to only 10 organizations throughout the U.S. each year.
