Gillette is offering a series of free educational sessions for our patients 16 and older.


Adapted Cycling

This session shows how to use cycles for exercise, transportation and fun! You’ll hear about modifications and general resources to make cycling easier and safer for adults who have disabilities. Some cycles will be
on display.

Camps for People Who Have Disabilities

Camps aren’t just for kids! We’ll introduceyou to camps for adults who have disabilities. You’ll learn how to select the right one, how to prepare, and much more! A camp director will be present to answer your
questions.

Adapted Sports and Leisure 101

Learn about adapted sports and leisure opportunities for adults who have disabilities. We’ll discuss organized programs, such as adapted sports leagues, art classes, and cooking seminars. We’ll also look at accessible community events, including movie nights, field trips, and bingo or karaoke events. You’ll find out how to get appropriate equipment (if needed) and how to sign up!

Transition for Young Adults

Will you soon graduate from hig school or a transition program? Are you starting work or attending a day program? If you’re 18 to 24, this is the group for you. You’ll learn tips for establishing and maintaining
friendships and relationships, making healthy leisure choices, and taking part in healthy recreation. You’ll be more prepared for your transition to adulthood with these resources in hand.
