George Jamison clearly remembers the moment. He was with his older brother, Jack, at summer camp, having the type of fun that only 8 and 10-year-olds can. Then everything went black. When he awoke, a lot had changed.

Gillette Children’s recently celebrated the completion of the Gateway Plaza. The project began with a vision to create a central space to welcome Gillette families, allow for a more convenient drop-off area for patients, provide safe and accessible parking for Gillette employees, expand administrative office spaces, and open the door to clinical space expansion down the road. Gillette partners, patients and families, and employees gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony early November to officially open the new space.

Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip(s) (DDH) happens when the hip joint abnormally forms or grows. If the ball of the hip joint is not in the correct position within the socket, then the hip joint cannot develop as it should.

Aaron Navarro is a teenager from Grandview, Texas. He's an active member of his high school debate team and runs 5K races (even though he’ll tell you that running isn’t his favorite thing). His mother, Christine, will tell you that the fact that he is running at all is nothing short of remarkable.
