What is your position and role at Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare? I am the Video and Photography Specialist at Gillette Children's. I have a fun job shooting photos and producing videos to help tell the incredible stories of patients and staff at Gillette.

What does your average day look like?  A great thing about my job at Gillette is that no day really looks the same.  One day I’m shooting photos of a physician demonstrating a new life-changing procedure.  The next day, I’m traveling to a patient’s home to film their story of overcoming challenges, and redefining what’s possible in their life.

Do you have a favorite Gillette story or memory? I started working at Gillette a little over two months ago, and there have already been so many special moments.  One in particular was during a trip to rural Wisconsin to meet a young patient and her dad.  The little girl’s smile and laughter, despite the challenges she faces, were so contagious.  I will remember her forever.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work? What I love most outside of work is hanging out with my husband, and two dogs.  We enjoy exploring the great places to eat in the Twin Cities, and the many local breweries.  In the warmer months, I like to hike, camp and just be outdoors.

What is one fun fact about you? A couple of years ago, I traveled to Northern Uganda to film a documentary with a friend.  The opportunity to live with families and learn about a culture different from my own was amazing.  Plus, seeing African wildlife roaming freely in their native environment was pretty awesome too!

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? I love to travel!  It's my life’s mission to see and experience as many places on our tiny planet as possible. Hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru and exploring the pyramids of Egypt top the list.
