Happy Nurses Week!
I constantly hear positive comments from our patients and families about the hard work and compassion of our nursing team. These compliments are proof that Gillette Children's nurses are some of the best in the nation. We serve a special patient population and it takes extraordinary people to make us shine.
From making smart decisions in care planning to providing an extra blanket or encouraging word—I’m grateful for our nurses dedication to make sure each patient’s time at Gillette is as comfortable as it can be.
Gillette is proud of the high skill level, longevity and achievements of our nursing staff. Many of our nurses have continued their education and gone on to receive advanced practice degrees and certifications. This academic work and training elevates the care at Gillette and enhances our mission.
The nursing team’s daily interaction and support of our patients is invaluable and is often the spark that leads to important research and innovations at Gillette.
Nurses play a crucial role in helping families navigate some of the most stressful situations they face. On behalf of all of us at Gillette, I want to thank our nurses for helping each child reach their full potential and discover what they CAN achieve.
Sincerely,
Barbara Joers
