Gillette, UCP Host Stationary Bike Race Fundraiser

Posted On: Jun 3, 2013

On Saturday, June 1, teams of bicyclists gathered for a morning of biking, teamwork, and friendly competition. But unlike traditional bike races, participants never crossed a finish line or ventured beyond St. Paul’s Wellstone Center.  At the first annual Pedal in Place stationary bike race, a benefit for United Cerebral Palsy of Minnesota sponsored by Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, teams of ten riders attempted to surpass other teams’ distances. Each team raised $1,000 or more to participate, with proceeds benefiting Minnesotans who have cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
