cCMV Clinic at Gillette Children's

Was your child diagnosed with congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV)? The cCMV Clinic at Gillette Children’s is here to help. With scheduling options that allow for multiple specialty appointments on the same day whenever possible, you and your child can get the support you need to help manage the effects of congenital CMV.

Who is the cCMV Clinic for?

The CMV Clinic sees newborns and young infants diagnosed with, or being evaluated for, congenital CMV. The providers in the cCMV clinic also continue to monitor patients’ progress as they age out of infancy. Patients of the cCMV clinic enjoy access to multiple specialties in a single day of appointments. This may include appointments with pediatric experts in:

  • Infectious disease—to evaluate and discuss medical history, symptoms, and treatment or monitoring needs.
  • Audiology—to address concerns about hearing loss and identify any early differences in hearing due to cCMV.
  • Radiology—for brain imaging to help guide treatment decisions.

How the cCMV Clinic Helps

At the cCMV Clinic, an experienced team of pediatric nurse practitioners and physicians will assess and treat your child for the side effects that often accompany congenital cytomegalovirus. The cCMV Clinic makes it easy for your family to access the ongoing multispecialty care that babies and children with cCMV often require, in a patient- and family-centered environment.
