Sweet Treats Spark Joy

DAIRY QUEEN delivered a moment of joy to Gillette patients, families and staff on Friday, May 1, when they stopped by to drop off a donation of several hundred DILLY Bars to the hospital. Their generosity brought smiles to the faces of both staff and patients. Even in the most challenging of times, soft serve makes everything just a little bit easier! The DAIRY QUEEN brand is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Partner and longtime supporter of Gillette. Their gift was made in honor of our hardworking nurses and care providers.

Generosity Goes Further With #GiveAtHomeMN

In response to the urgent needs of nonprofits during this crisis, GiveMN, the group behind Give to the Max Day, launched a weeklong fundraising effort from May 1-8 designed to help organizations raise vitally important funds. Dozens of individuals have already stepped forward to show their support during #GiveAtHomeMN—and thanks to the Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare board of directors their contributions have been matched dollar-for-dollar!

We’re grateful to everyone who has contributed to this effort so far—and if you haven’t had a chance to give, it isn’t too late to make your gift go further! Donate by midnight on Friday, May 8 to get your gift to Gillette doubled.

Home Depot Makes a Difference

Gillette was the recipient of a generous gift of 10,000 N95 masks from Home Depot, who has helped supply a number of local hospitals with these vitally-needed pieces of protective equipment. As healthcare organizations, including Gillette, continue to enforce strict masking policies, there is an increased demand for personal protective equipment – especially N95 masks. We’re grateful that partners like Home Depot are helping provide these important tools that help protect the health of our patients and providers.

James Hill, a regional sales manager with the company, shares more about the company’s values and his personal connection with Gillette, “One of Home Depot’s core values is giving back to the community and it is refreshing to be able to do just that in a time of need. Gillette holds a special place for me and my family as my son does therapy there a few days a week. We are grateful for all you continue to do for the community and for our kids and I am just happy that we could play some small role to help.”
