Gillette Children’s Healthcare Press Announces the Spanish Release of It’s Okay to Ask!, ¡Está bien preguntar!

[St. Paul, MN] - Gillette Children’s Healthcare Press is excited to announce the release of the Spanish edition of It's Okay to Ask!, titled ¡Está bien preguntar!

Written by the experts at Gillette Children's, and illustrated by beloved Twin Cities artist Nancy Carlson, It’s Okay to Ask! is a discussion-inspiring picture book about children connecting with and making friends with peers who have disabilities.    

To celebrate the release of the book in Spanish, Gillette Press has partnered with local organizations that cater to Spanish speaking communities to distribute copies of ¡Está bien preguntar! at centers across the Twin Cities. 

¡Está bien preguntar! is now available in softcover through Amazon and other retailers. 

Coming very soon: Proud To Be Me, a colorful children’s board book that teaches toddlers about physical differences. Written by Gillette pediatric hand surgeons Ann Van Heest, MD and Deborah Bohn, MD, and illustrated by Rick Korab.

Gillette Press was established in March 2020, right before the pandemic, to coincide with the publication of Spastic Diplegia. In June 2021, Pure Grit: Stories of Remarkable People Living with Physical Disability was published. It's Okay to Ask! is an earlier publication that was translated to Spanish in 2023. Coming May 2023 is the release of Proud To Be Me. Over the next two years the Press will publish further books on conditions treated at Gillette Children's.
