A Continuum of Care for Craniofacial Disorders: The Integration of Medicine and Therapy

Course Description

A conference for primary-care providers, nurses, speech and language pathologists as well as other interested health care professionals. This conference will offer a multidisciplinary approach to caring for children with craniofacial conditions. Presentations will focus on evaluation and management that lead to optimal outcomes for children.

Course Objectives

At the completion of the course, participants should be able to:

  • List prevalent craniofacial disorders
  • Summarize the team approach to care for children with craniofacial disorders
  • Recognize treatment strategies
  • Identify strategies to empower youth with special health care needs to stand against bullying
  • Describe ways to recognize the child first and not the disorder

Accreditation

Gillette Children’s is accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. Gillette takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this activity.

Gillette designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registration Information and Accommodations

The conference registration fee is $200 for physicians, $125 for other medical professionals. The fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments, conference materials and continuing medical education credit. Mail-in registration instructions are also available.
