In October, Gillette Children’s welcomed Kelly Morse Nowicki as Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.

“Kelly’s experience building high-performing operations and advancing patient-centered strategies will be invaluable as we deliver on Gillette Children’s mission,” says Barbara Joers, President & CEO. “Her leadership will help us strengthen both the daily experience of those we serve and those who serve, alongside our long-term vision for growth and impact.”

Before joining Gillette Children’s, Nowicki spent more than 20 years at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Most recently, she was responsible for shared services and hospital operations across Mayo campuses in Minnesota, Arizona, Florida, and Wisconsin. Before joining Mayo, Nowicki was CEO of the Girl Scout Council in Rochester.

“For me, Gillette offers an incredible opportunity to do what I love – shine and amplify operational excellence and match it with clinical excellence to drive innovation,” Nowicki says. “Add to that the chance to do this important work at a special organization like Gillette Children’s, and I see an opportunity that doesn’t come across in one’s career often.”

She earned her bachelor’s degree in international business and comparative religion from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., and a master’s degree in business and clinical ethics from the University of Chicago.
