What You Can Expect During Your Stay
Upon admission to our program your child will be evaluated, and an individualized care plan will be created with yours and your child’s goals, preferences and values in mind.
Based on the initial evaluation, your child will receive a daily schedule of therapies with a frequency and duration deemed appropriate for achieving their specific goals.
Throughout the course of your child’s hospitalization, you can expect ongoing communication with team members in the form of daily updates, weekly care plan updates and regular family/caregiver conferences where goals, progress and discharge planning are discussed.
You can expect to take an active role in your child’s program through learning and providing cares for your child, participating in therapy sessions as appropriate, and participating in discharge planning.
You can expect comfortable, private rooms where you are allowed to stay with your child during the course of their hospitalization, as well as access to our Ronald McDonald rooms to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
You can expect access to well-maintained facilities and equipment as well as innovative, evidence based medical and therapeutic interventions that your child needs to achieve their goals.
You can expect to be treated with courtesy, respect, privacy and the knowledge that you are the expert on your child.
Following discharge from our program you can expect regular, ongoing follow-up and assistance with any long- term care needs your child may have.
